We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our client’s Support Worker team.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, approachable, resilient, self-managing and is able to communicate effectively to offer reassurance and value to people’s lives.

This role will be at the heart of their service, ensuring all needs are met throughout the day and providing them with support when needed. This could include tasks such as emotional support, accessing the community, personal care, medication support and the meeting of nutritional needs as well as domestic tasks. Supporting each individual to live a life that they want and being part of their community.

You will mostly work alone with the customer in their home. Providing care and support offers many rewards, but can also be challenging. Compassion, good communication skills and a calm and caring manner are essential for this important role in our company.

We have found that some people that come through don’t really have an understanding of what the role entails and think its simply ”taking someone shopping or paying their bills”, whilst there is an element of that, there is always an underlying factor that ultimately puts them in the position of needing support in the first place which needs to be worked with and supported.

We need resilient workers who preferably have personal or professional experience/understanding of support work and are not easily phased. That being said, we are happy to consider candidates from other sectors that can demonstrate an understanding and empathy for the role and are keen to learn.

We are looking for full and part time staff, including some weekend working. We also need sleep in / waking night staff, so this would be great if it could form part of someones’ overall availability. Hourly rate starts at £10.20, and enhancements are available according to weekend work and complexity of package. Mileage is also paid.

They are working with clients who deal with the following issues:

Self harm

Personality disorders

Aspergers / ASD

CPTSD

Mental health issues

Substance abuse

Our client offers –

  • Permanent positions
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Ongoing support
  • Enhanced rates

Please apply with your CV, submit your details via our website or give us a call!
