Our client, Dorset Council is seeking TRAVEL SERVCES ADMIN (TECHNICAL) to join their team on a temporary on-going basis. For the right candidate the position can be extended. This is a fast-paced office administration role. You will be required to multi-task accurately and be a team player. Working for the Dorset Travel sector, you will be responsible for providing home to school transport, SEN transport and also child and adult care transport solutions. It will involve contact with parents/carers/transport companies to ensure smooth transitions. Strong admin skills are required.

  • Providing regular data and information about various service areas and related contracts (performance, financial and management information)
  • Liaising with suppliers over contract performance and related issues and arranging/recording of meetings
  • Day to day management of the Accord database with details of all live contract information
  • Maintaining an up-to-date log of all current contracts (including issues)
  • Maintaining up to date records and producing reports from the various IT systems

Within your CV, you must show evidence of the following skills:

  • College / University education level or previous experience of working in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Strong working Knowledge of IT Systems – Windows based applications
  • Good communication skills – Via telephone, email and word processing
  • Ability to prioritise workload and pay attention to detail
  • Accurate Data Input


Candidates must hold:

  • Passport or Birth Certificate with proof of National Insurance
