Our client is seeking a Mobile Plant Operative, Dorchester to join their team on a temporary basis. For the right candidate could lead to a permanent role. It will be at the client discretion to offer a permanent contract once the 12 weeks have been passed. Initially the hours would be Mon – Friday 07:00 – 17:00 with Saturdays as required, 45 hours a week with 1 hour’s unpaid break daily.
Reporting to the quarry manager, the main responsibilities and duties are to operate and maintain mobile plant machinery and provide cover at other Hills Quarry sites, as and when required. The successful candidate will have experience in operating, maintaining and hold plant operator’s licences for loading shovel and dumper driving and will be ideally qualified to NVQ/QCF Level 2 (SPMO). The ideal candidate will also have an awareness of the Quarry Regulations 1999. Candidates must have previous experience using mobile plant including dumpers, loading shovel and 360° excavators in a similar environment and ideally hold certified tickets. Some mechanical understanding would be an advantage.
Must hold:
- Passport or Birth Certificate with proof of National Insurance
