Our client is seeking a Legal Administrative Support to join them on a permanent basis. This is a successful and busy firm located in Weymouth, Dorset. You will be friendly, accurate and professional at all times as you will be the first point of contact for the whole team. The ideal candidate will show strong administration skills within CV and have previously worked within a busy administrative role. The role can progress and the client is willing to pay for training so you climb the career ladder with them.
Operate the Switchboard – responsible for answering all incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate party.
Take Accurate Messages – When answering calls or when clients come into the legal office, you will take detailed, informative messages and give them to the appropriate person.
Schedule Appointments – Schedule appointments for lawyers, paralegals and book meetings of all types.
Sort Mail and Receive Packages – All incoming mail and packages delivered are logged and passed on according.
Administration Duties –
Complete many general office tasks, including copying, filing, and faxing various documents at the request of lawyers and paralegals.
Data Entry as well as tasks such as typing out memos and letters.
Monitor the office supplies used by the staff, ordering new items as necessary.
Keep Entrance Area Attractive – Entrance / reception to be kept neat and appealing at all times. This may include watering plants, light dusting, and other cleaning tasks.
Team Player – Offer Coffee and Tea – making sure that these beverages are available to all staff and visitors in the office throughout the day.
Within your CV, you must show evidence of the following skills:
Good working Knowledge of IT Systems – Windows based applications
Excellent communication skills – Via telephone, email and word processing
Ability to prioritise workload and pay attention to detail
Teamwork is essential with this role, as you will be talking to people from all levels
Candidates must hold:
Valid Passport or Birth Certificate with National Insurance
2 years’ previous employment reference history
