£10.47ph increasing to £11.40ph after 12 weeks

Our client Dorset Council is seeking a HR & Payroll Assistant to join them on a temporary basis. You will be based at County Hall, Dorchester. You will be working within the Human Resources department. This team is responsible for ensuring HR matters and payroll are processed accordingly and within a time frame. You must have Level 3 certificate in Personnel or Payroll practice or equivalent.

  • Input a range of HR, payroll, travel/expenses and pensions related information into
  • the HR/Payroll system
  • Work directly with managers to ensure that organisational structures in the council’s
  • HR/Payroll system are up to date
  • Provide advice, guidance and information to managers, employees and other
  • customers, across a wide range of HR related matters as the first point of contact
  • within the service
  • Work collaboratively with HR & OD colleagues to deliver an integrated service for the
  • benefit of customers

Within your CV, you must show evidence of the following skills:

  • Evidence of previous experience in a similar role must be shown within CV.
  • Level 3 certificate in Personnel or Payroll practice or equivalent
  • Administrative processes
  • Use of ICT office systems or similar
  • Understanding of the importance of accurate record keeping in HR Payroll support service delivery
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply procedures
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
  • Good standard of numeracy

 

Candidates must hold:

  • Passport or Birth Certificate with proof of National Insurance
  • 2 years previous employment reference history
