Hottest day for Jobs in Dorset

Monday 22nd July 2013 has not only been the hottest day in the UK for seven years it has also been the hottest day for Jobs in Dorset!!

City Centre Recruitment with offices in Southampton, Bournemouth, Weymouth and Yeovil has experienced, across all our division and branches, the busiest day in terms of bookings in for over 4 years.

Our Hospitality, Catering and Chef division has led the way with bookings up in the past month over 65% on the previous month.

Rachel Wilson, Hospitality, Catering and Chef Consultant said “it has been a mad few weeks. The sun has come out and everyone wants staff. It has not just been demand from Bournemouth and the traditional summer hotel trade we also have had increased demand for staff for jobs in Southampton and Weymouth. In addition the football season is just about to kick off and we will be starting to supply bar and waiting staff to newly promoted Yeovil Football club from this weekend. If anyone is looking for waiting, bar, housekeeping or chef jobs in Dorset, Hampshire or Somerset please get in touch with me and we will have you out to work tomorrow!”

Our Industrial and Engineering Division has also felt the same surge in demand with a cross section of businesses needing temp staff. Due to the hot weather we are still recruiting for beach attendants and beach cleaners for both Bournemouth Beach and Weymouth Beach as people flock to the seaside for a dip. If you are looking for a summer on the beach and being paid this could be the job for you.

Our more traditional factory work is also moving along quickly as the UK economy shows real sustained signs of recovery. If you are looking for warehouse jobs in Dorset, Hampshire or Yeovil please check out our latest jobs on our website.

The Cleaning Division is in full swing as it fulfil its obligations with a number of student related contracts. The influx of foreign students for the various summer schools run by the university and language schools means lots and lots of accommodation turnarounds. Combine this with the increase in demand for holiday let turnarounds this has resulted in an on-going recruitment driver for good staff for cleaning jobs in Bournemouth and Southampton.

The hot weather (and hopefully the economy) are forecast to stay fine for the foreseeable future. This will only mean one thing for Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset; more jobs. Please keep checking back on our website for the latest jobs or register your cv to be included on our monthly “job shot”.
