A third of Bournemouth Pubs and restaurants at risk of going bust

A report out earlier this month suggests that over 38% of restaurants and  33% of pubs within Bournemouth are at risk of going out of business. The risk has also spread to hotels with similar figures being reported.

It is widely believed this situation has been caused by a number of factors; the rapid rise in raw food prices, the awful weather Dorset has experienced in 2012, the Olympics causing tourists to stay away from the area, the eurozone crisis and the general economic downturn.

However it is not all doom and gloom. Q4 of 2012 is notoriously a busy time of year with Xmas parties and new year celebrations.

City Centre is currently experiencing an upturn in demand from their hotel and catering clients. In particular we are experiencing an increase in demand for us to fill chef jobs with clients throughout Dorset.
