Supporting Weldmar Hospice 700 Club
City Centre Recruitment are delighted to announce their support of the Weldmar Hospice by each month taking part in their 700 Club lottery draw.
Weldmar Hospicecare is a charity for people with a life-limiting illness living in Dorset. Their compassionate approach supports patients and their families, medically and in other ways, in the community, in the hospice and at home. All care given is done so on a free basis.
Whilst the hospice does have some NHS financial support, 75% of their funding comes from the general public and local businesses making charitable contributions.
The 700 Club is one of the ways in which, on top of cash donations, the Hospice raises funds. Along with donations Weldmar put on a whole raft of other events including concerts, coffee mornings and even a trip this autumn to Nepal. They also have a chain of 20 charity shops and 5 outlets.
The 700 Club allows up to, and no more than, 700 businesses or individuals to buy a ticket. The ticket then enters the holder to be entered into 25 Fortnightly lottery draws. The prize for winning one of these draws are as follows:
1st Prize : £300
2nd Prize : £150
3rd Prize : £75
Whilst not quite the same prizes as on offer with the National Lottery but with far shorter odds. The odds for winning the National Lottery, if you wanted to know, are an eye watering 13,983,816 to 1 against 700 – 1 for the Weldmar 700 Club. the prize pot does increases in two pre-Christmas draws in November and December. Prize money is increased giving the lucky recipients a timely boost for the festive period
1st Prize : £600
2nd Prize : 250
3rd Prize : £150
