City Centre Recruitment are delighted to be assisting our client in Martock, Somerset – Currently looking to recruit a Southern Regional Sales Manager


  • Plan, manage and develop a sales territory working closely with identified Key Accounts and account customers to create potential new business
  • Source, generate, develop and maintain sales in an assigned territory ensuring that sales budgets are met or exceeded
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to create Sales budgets and Targets, identify New products requirements and establish market needs
  • Be able to work with customers at all levels within their organisation and with a variety of outlets from specifier to end user
  • Negotiate both as an individual at all levels and with a clear picture of the financial viability of the sale in today’s aggressive market, being aware of possible competitors and their sales prices and/or tactics
  • Decide on any discount awarded to any one customer for bulk or loyalty purchasing
  • Have close working relationship with Local Authority Transport Managers both in Education and Social Services
  • Maintain a good degree of contact with Sales Executives and purchasing departments of vehicle converters and similar outlets
  • Maintain a good level of communication with Internal sales, Engineering and Purchasing Departments in order to achieve effective and efficient sales, customer enquiries, customer requests and purchasing schedules, always seeking to provide the utmost in customer satisfaction
  • Plan, coordinate and complete any projects designated by the Marketing and Sales Director such as Key accounts schedules, sales & budget forecasts
  • Contact both sales and finance departments with  relevant industry issues such as company financial difficulties and information relating to any lost orders
  • Have an understanding of relevant industry standards and legislation.
  • Ensure a high level of after sales customer service
  • Provide customers with demonstrations and training, acting as a point of contact for the customer on warranty or any other user issues
  • Have a good understanding of the current market place regarding production and ever changing manufacturing trends
  • Meet any other reasonable roles set by the Director of Sales & Marketing

  • Able to work on his/her own initiative and as part of a team
  • Possess the technical ability to assist customers to identify the correct product for their individual needs
  • The ability and the inner self-confidence to demonstrate all company products in a professional manner
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • High level of written and oral interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail whilst retaining a good understanding of the ‘bigger picture’
  • Ability to perform to a high standard under minimum or no supervision
  • IT literate and fully confident in the use of Microsoft packages such    

       as Word,  Excel and Powerpoint

  • High level of numeracy and literacy

  • Good sales ability, proven successful sales background

  • Strong understanding of the trade and public sectors

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Able to reasonably forecast personal achievement and surpass budget expectations

  • To be flexible in working hour arrangements

  • To be available for occasional evening and weekend engagements such as exhibitions and conferences

Full, clean, UK driving licence


  • Sales experience or be able to demonstrate a good understanding of passenger tail lifts

  • Clear understanding about company’s ethos and company values

  • Managerial abilities both of personnel and product
